what are the risk factors of smoking?

The chemicals in tobacco smoke harm your heart and blood vessels in many ways,for example;

1.Thicken your blood and make it harder for your blood to carry oxygen.

2.Increase your blood pressure and heart rate,making your heart work harder than normal

3.Lower your HDL cholesteror (sometimes called ''good''cholesteror) and raise your LDL cholesteror  (sometimes called ''bad'' cholesteror).smoking also increases your triglyceride level. Triglyceride are a type of fat found in the blood.

4.Smoking disturb normal blood rhythms
.
5.Damage blood vessel walls,making them stiff and less elastic(stretchy). This damage narrows the blood vessels and adds to the damage caused by unhealthy cholesteror levels.

6.Contributes to inflammation,which may trigger plague buildup in your arteries.

7.Smoking is a major risk factor for heart diseases.
